How much is too much?

How many miles is to high for you to consider a purchase of a used bike? I have the opportunity to trade my 02 600 f4i with 27k miles for a 2003 954rr with 40k miles, needs and ignition which I have a spare, and maintenance unknown. Would you guys even think twice about this?? Personally the fireblade is my dream bike and is what I really wanted when I go into the 600. The 600 was just a good introduction to these bikes as it was a project I got up and running. Pic of my bike (grey) and offer bike.
